Questions

What is a double-end stud?

A stud threaded at both ends: one end screws into a tapped part, the other takes a nut. Used where a bolt head can't fit or the stud stays in place.

Can one end have a different thread?

Yes. A different size or pitch at each end is common. Specify both.

Can you make a pivot pin with a special end?

Yes. Tapered, notched, pointed and fluted ends are turned or ground to drawing.
