Overview
Self-tapping screws form their own thread as they are driven, removing the need for a pre-tapped hole. UVI supplies hex flange washer-head, pan, pan washer-head, and CSK self-tapping configurations for sheet metal, ducting, enclosures, and assembly applications.

Tapping screws use ST sizes (nominal thread dia. in mm), not M sizes. Point type C (pointed) or F (flat) per ISO 1478.
Parts are checked at each stage with vernier calipers, micrometers and visual inspection. Material and test reports can be arranged on request.

Questions
Type C or type F point?
Type C (pointed) finds and enters a pilot hole in thin sheet. Type F (blunt) is for thicker material where the hole is already sized.
What pilot hole size should I use?
It depends on sheet thickness and material. Tell us both and we'll give a starting size for trial.
