Overview
Threaded inserts and rivet nuts provide a strong internal thread in materials too thin or too soft to be tapped directly, such as sheet metal, tube, plastics and wood. UVI supplies knurled press-in and moulding inserts along with flanged rivet nuts for blind installation from one side.
Also known as: blind rivet nut, clinch nut, self-clinching nut, rivnut, threaded insert.

Questions
Rivet nut or press-in insert?
A rivet nut is set blind from one side, which suits tube and closed sections. A knurled insert is pressed, heat-staked or moulded into plastic or wood.
Why does grip range matter?
Too thin and the rivet nut spins in the hole; too thick and it can't collapse fully. Give us your sheet thickness.
Can you make inserts for injection moulding?
Yes. Knurled brass and steel moulding inserts are turned to the mould drawing.
