Questions
Why use a combi recess?
Production lines drive with a Phillips bit; service technicians can then remove the screw with a flat screwdriver. Common in switchgear and appliance terminals.
Is torque capacity lower than a plain Phillips?
The slot removes some material around the recess, so the drive takes slightly less torque before cam-out. For high torque use a hex or Torx drive.
Can you make combi screws with a washer?
Yes. See Combi Screws with Washer.
